Insurance and Financing Options
At Dental Centers of Missouri we offer a wide variety of payment options.
We are proud to offer CareCredit. Cash, Check, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are all excepted as well.
Information, as well as an online application, for CareCredit can be found by visiting their website at www.carecredit.com.
Insurance can be a very confusing issue. As an added service to our patients we will be happy to electronically file insurance claims after each visit.
We are preferred providers with the following insurance companies:
Aetna PPO, Assurant, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Kansas City, Careington Discount Plan, Cigna PPO, Delta Dental, Dentemax, GEHA/Connection Dental, Guardian, Humana, Met Life, Premier Dental, United Concordia and United Healthcare
This means by coming to our office for treatment you will utilize the most benefits from your dental insurance carrier because we are a contracted provider with the above list of insurance carriers.
Don't see your insurance carriers name on the above list? Don't worry! While we may not have a preferred contract with all insurance companies we will still be happy to file an insurance claim on your behalf.
To take the guess work out before your first visit we can also obtain your eligibility and benefits prior to your first visit if you are able to provide us with with a few key pieces of information; subscriber name, date of birth, social security number or subscriber identification number, patient's name, and date of birth and the insurance carriers contact telephone number.
After your first visit when you have received a diagnosis and treatment plan we can file what is called a "predetermination of benefits". This predetermination will allow us to tell your insurance carrier what the desired course of treatment is along with our fees and then in return they will evaluate and reply as to the amount of your treatment that they will cover. This will help to eliminate any surprises during the course of your treatment.
Please be assured that we will make every possible attempt to obtain the most accurate information possible from your insurance provider. Please be advised that any information we are able to obtain is only an estimate from your insurance company and final determination of actual benefits will only be made after treatment is completed and a claim is submitted to your insurance carrier. Ultimately insurance is a contract between you and your insurance carrier and you are responsible for any amount they they do not cover.
